This week on the AVB Podcast we have electronic musician Daniel St.Amour . Only 21 years old but you wouldn’t guess that by talking with Daniel. Daniel grew up in a musical family that encouraged musical enrichment. Daniel learned how to play violin early on when he went to a music camp, though not liking it very much, he moved on to learn trombone when he picked it in a grade school music class finding it a bit easier than violin. In his later years, he decided to learn piano in his high-school music class and never looked back. Daniel was quite the talent. He had the opportunity to play in the high-school music band while still in grade 8 having to quit the grade school basketball team in order play in the band. He felt like quite the “cool” kid in class.
Not only is Daniel a talented musician, but he learned how to compose music with music software, in particular, Cubase. This is what got Daniel started in the composition world. Daniel’s high-school music teacher saw the talent in him and his friend and asked him showcase this talent in her class. I guess one could say that the rest is history. Daniel got the itch to compose for himself and for the world to hear and we are glad he did! Since learning Cubase, you can tell that Daniel’s performance style has evolved a bit. He also incorporates live multi-instrument looping that he performs all himself, this is how he composed his song “Love Someone” that you can find on various digital platforms, the links are below. You can also catch a live recording of him recorded on the AVB Podcast that will be released this Friday July 14th 2017. Recorded live at The Rondo, you don’t wanna miss it! Quite the talent and definitely someone to watch! Don’t miss this podcast!
